Dr. Thomas J Rolfes

Dr. Thomas Rolfes earned his undergraduate degree in biology at Loyola Marymount University, then studied at Georgetown University where he received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery). He has earned the prestigious fellowship award with the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Rolfes has been providing dental care at this Costa Mesa location since 1984. He enjoys practicing dentistry as well as participating in several dental study groups, our local dental society and lecturing. Dr. Rolfes is licensed to provide IV and oral sedation.

Dr. Christina T Do

Dr. Christina Do is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She is a native Californian, born and raised in the “OC.” Throughout her dental career she has had the honor of practicing with some of the leading laser professionals in the world. Through this experience she has been able to share her knowledge through various venues. Her perseverance of mastering dental laser technology gives her the opportunity to lecture worldwide to other dentists on the applications of laser dentistry. She is now a lecturer and researcher for the #1 leading dental laser company, Biolase. She is also on the executive board of the Coleman Research Group which connects medical investors with experts in the field of dentistry.

Dentistry has been a passion of Dr. Do’s from her college days at UCSD. She was inspired by a homeless woman who expressed her desire to take care of her teeth. From that point forward, Dr. Do knew that she had a calling to perform dentistry to the under privileged in her community and to citizens of other countries where there is little access to modern dental care. Since the year 2000, she has served in various countries such as Mexico, South America, Central America, Papua New Guinea, and Haiti.

Dr. Do has been featured in the California Dental Association newsletter for her animated children’s educational DVD. Her “Toothtales” DVD has received numerous accolades including 1st place for People’s Choice. Her “Toothtales” dental series now has 3 episodes in counting. Dr. Do has been featured numerous times on the Emmy award winning show “The Doctors” performing various dental procedures. Currently, she has three dental commercials on air and hopes to continue to reach out to the community through various media aspects. Also, she has published various journal articles and has been featured in multiple dental magazines. Dr. Do is an active member of the ADA, CDA, OCDS, WCLI, and the AAPD.

In her spare time, Dr. Do enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, exercising, and arts and crafts. She tops off her life’s joy by spoiling her two dogs and doing whatever it takes to someday see them on the cover of Pet Monthly.

Dr. Cary J. Dunne

Dr. Cary J Dunne has practiced dentistry in Toledo, Ohio since graduating from The Ohio State University School of Dentistry in 1977. He has advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, implants and full mouth restorations. Dr Dunne is certified in esthetic dentistry by both Case Western Reserve University and Baylor College of Dentistry. These are among the highest level courses of university-based training in cosmetic dentistry available.

Dr Dunne has always taken great pride in providing the best dental care possible. He is very active in continuing education programs and study clubs with other dentists also driven to excellence. In 2010 Dr Dunne was awarded the Medal of Achievement in Comprehensive Clinical Care from the Seattle Study Club, an internationally recognized dental continuing education organization.

Dr. Dunne feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to practice with Drs. Rolfes and Do in Costa Mesa. He and his wife, Darlene, have chosen to return to California to be closer to their sons who both live and work in L.A. County.

Dr. Cary J. Dunne has been married to Darlene Dunn since 1979. They are proud parents of their two sons, Robert and Brian. Rob graduated from Denison University in 2004, with a degree in English. He was a member of their varsity basketball team. Brian graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a degree in Physics. He was a member of their national championship rugby team. Brian then received his law degree from University of Chicago in 2007. All four family members enjoy competitive sports and exercise.

Dr. Dunne feels that, as an advocate for health, he should be an example of good health. Both he and Darlene are “regulars” at the gym. Cary played college basketball at City College of San Francisco and San Francisco State University, and still plays competitive basketball. Exercise, a healthy diet, and personal and professional dental care are all necessary to protect, and get the most out of, our gift of life.

Dr. Marvin F Jensen

Dr. Marvin F. Jensen, MD, DDS, graduated from UCLA Dental School in 1974 and received his surgery degree from UCLA and St. George’s London Medical School. Dr. Jensen has been practicing for 37 years and throughout his career has impacted the oral surgery arena. He has been an esteemed professor at many prestigious universities throughout the world spanning from Buenos Aires to Oxford University, England. He has been involved in many research presentations and has published many journal articles. His publications include OMFS emergencies, oral pathologies, impacted canines, magnetic resonant spectroscopy, and ventilated liposuction canulas for lipectomies. In his spare time, Dr. Jensen enjoys attending lectures at Cal Tech, reading, and spending time with his children and mastiff, Remy.
